The book can be purchased from packtpub. This is one of the ways the OpenCV team raises funds to keep it all going. This is the direct link to the specific book. It is actually a cheap, but very good book for starters. I can only suggest people to buy it, not just spreading digital copies of it, and so supporting the openCV devellopment.
