How can do object detection like as human,vehicles,etc.

Hello, I have used open_cv to detect face and its working fine. I have used webcam and videofile to detect faces. I have some query regarding process.I have listed out as below:

   -How can i use ip_camera instead of using webcam?
   -Can i do object detection like as to identify vehices,human,etc?
   -What should i have to make changes for above process?

   If anyone know about this,let me guide.It will be great for me.
