I'm trying to build OpenCV for aarch64 system and below is my cmake command. Any idea how to resolve this error ?

 gbista@gbista-Precision-7510:~/cods/dl_platform/dpx2/build$ cmake -DSOFTFP=ON -DBUILD_SHARED_LIBS=OFF -DINSTALL_C_EXAMPLES=OFF -DWITH_V4L=OFF  -DCMAKE_C_COMPILER=/usr/bin/aarch64-linux-gnu-gcc -DCMAKE_CXX_COMPILER=/usr/bin/aarch64-linux-gnu-g++ -DCMAKE_TOOLCHAIN_FILE=/home/gbista/cods/dl_platform/dpx2/opensrc/opencv-3.3.0/platforms/linux/aarch64-gnu.toolchain.cmake /home/gbista/cods/dl_platform/dpx2/opensrc/opencv-3.3.0

i don't have any remedy, but the problem is here:

-- Performing Test HAVE_CPU_FP16_SUPPORT - Failed
-- FP16 is not supported by C++ compiler

Thanks I will take a look.

Cross compiling can be annoying. I prefer to compile OpenCV on the platform I'll use it. It's quite fast on ARM processors too.

Maybe I solved it temporarily by defining CV_NEON,just like :

The underlying issue is that gcc 4.8 doesn't define __ARM_NEON(4.9 does), so the check in https://github.com/opencv/opencv/blob... fails. I tried to remove this but then ran into other issues (undefined macro UINT64_C in the arm_neon.h header of my toolchain).

I strongly recommend to update your toolchain if at all possible. For the Nvidia boards you should be able to use the toolchain provided by Linaro at https://www.linaro.org/downloads/
