You can try having a look at the cascade training tutorial of opencv (create samples part) and this old but gold tutorial for information regarding how to create samples and train classifiers

Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to docs.opencv.org Try reloading: docs.opencv.org/doc/tutorials/introduction/windows_install/windows_install.html Additional suggestions: Access a cached copy of docs.opencv.org/doc/tutorials/introduction/windows_install/windows_install.html

this is what shows on my browser. cant open the link.

Hey there,

Installing in Windows is not that difficult. Those installation instructions pretty much saves the day for anyone trying to install in windows. Maybe you should try that once more and maybe people can help you if you can ask specific doubts regarding the errors you get while configuring/building/installing/using OpenCV. And windows also has this superpack which is very helpful if you dont want to build it from source. (Choose it and use it style)

I have a detailed instructions compiled for linux and I have tested it in Ubuntu 12.04, 11.10 and I hope it will work well in other distros as well. Here is the link. Its taken from various sites like thebitbangtheory.blogspot.com, ozbots, website of sebastin montabone, etc., Few errors which i encountered are listed and solutions are there for it. Here it is. If you encounter any errors, kindly let me know. I am not taking any credit for this and I would like to sincerely thank other people's post from which I could make such an instruction set.

Hope this helps you as well as others.
