I have the following object

image description

How to detect it? I could not get its feature. It's reflective material.

Thanks!

The best way to detect anything is to provide such environment in that the detection becomes trivial. For the instance: can you remove all 3rd party objects from the background? Make the illumination stationar and etc.?

Original problem: Detect this object when it moving. I have applied the background subtraction method. But the probability is not high. Because of the environment. So I want to change the method. Detect object directly.

How about combining bg/fg segmentation with some object reflectance evaluation metric?

Yes. I applied it. But not successful.

Die you are the reflectie model? Cannot see anything like that

I don't understand that you said

Oops GSM auto correct -_- I was asking: did you apply the reflective model as I suggested?

I can't remove all 3rd party objects from the background. Because i don't know which objects the background has.

you are ignoring my question ... as long as you do not apply any reflectance analysis, you will not get there I am afraid ...
