OpenCV 3.2 train.py is giving me a 'module object has no attribute createEigenFaceRecognizer'

asked 2017-01-05 14:52:25 -0600

I've successfully built OpenCV before and realize that for version 3 it's necessary to additionally build opencv_contrib. I've cloned from github and installed the cmake gui, but I'm not able to create a make file. Is the source folder the original OpenCV 3.2.0 folder and the destination folder the opencv_contrib?

Take a look at this tutorial from the OpenCV 3 Blueprints book that describes into detail each step needed to built your opencv with opencv_contrib support.
