Imwrite TIFF compression

Hi,

Is tiff format compressed using imwrite? If it is, what is the compression scheme, and is it lossy ?

To be able to see the compression scheme, please take a look at the source code, but as far as my experience with tiff images goes, there is actually lossy formatting going on. If you want to avoid this, use a compression independent file format like *.ppm.
