Does using cv2.VideoCapture() destroy imaging device at device manager??

image description My dell 5110 just lost webcam. imaging device has gone missing from device manager!!!!!!

no idea, how you lost your webcam driver, but it's very unlikely, that cv2.VideoCapture removed it.

the same thing happened to lenovo, but on restart lenovo recovered imaging device on device manager. The driver became passive and asked to reconnect hardware.
