I got video tearing when using videowriter (not with cuda support) because i was using imshow before the recording a mat-object. There was no tearing in the window, but there was in the saved file. When I reversed the process ,first recording then imshow, there was no tearing in the file. (there was however tearing in imshow, but who cares)
