From the version >3.4 traincascade is not supported anymore in OpenCV (also for Haar and LBP cascades training). BUT you can keep training cascades with opencv <3.4 and use the resulting xml with versions >3.4. More: http://www.vision-ary.net/2015/03/largest-boosted-cascades-opencv-lbp-haar-hog/
