I'm using the kinect to obtain the depth but I get something transparent: for example when I pose chessboard (or something else) in front of the kinect I can see what behind it in the image depth.

image description

the 'c' of 'chessboard' is in the corn of chessboard and the last 'd' of 'Object behind the chessboard' is glued to the object.

so as you can see the object appear behind the chessboard !

Anyone know what to solve it ?

NB: The letters are only for explanation to understand the image, just to handle a point in the image (I could also use an arrow)

Could you post an image, it's not clear to me what you get.

I just add an image I hope it's clear enough

You want the letters being "hidden" by the geometry, right? It seems an OpenGL issue. Have you activated the depth test? See how to do that here.

what letters ? you talk about what is written in red ? no it's just explanation to understand the image. the letters are just to handle a point in the image (I could also use an arrow)

Sorry for that, but I still don't understand what is your issue... What did you expect from that picture?

Don't worry :D ... look at that: https://www.mediafire.com/?lsassugiudggl81 as you can see in this picture I carry a big chessboard but you can't see me through it. this is the normal case and this what I want. (mais la mire dans l'image en haut est transparente, on voit un objet (une partie d'une chaise) à travers) ! I hope I'm clear enough.

Could it be related to the point of view in the 3D window (first picture), otherwise, sorry no idea… ;-)
