Fingerprint matching using scannar ?

Hello there, I have got two fingerprint images of a same person. One is inked image and the other image is through digital persona finger print scanner. Is it possible to match and recognize these two fingerprint images ?

This is a common task in the field of fingerprint biometric.The acquisition process in two mode:

1 - off line mode (inked image)

2 - on line mode (live scan)

In the off line mode,we have two type acquisition :

1 - fingerprint on card text.(Picture scan with scanner)[it is easy to match]

2 - forensic application latent fingerprint(Picture taken with camera)[it is difficult to match]

i got two images.. offline mode -> http://postimg.org/image/jbqk07wyr/ online mode-> http://postimg.org/image/i3yul17xt/ i want to match the image that i get from live scan with the inked images i got in my database. It will be very helpful if you guide me to the direction i should head, thanks

You can download the NIST open source engine from http://www.nist.gov/itl/iad/ig/nigos.cfm#Releases and then you can compare your samples.
