Image compare for LCD 20x4 test.

Hi,

i need to compare two image. One is a reference and another is captured by cam and consists an image of a 20x4 LCD. For this i'v no problem. The problem is the captured image, never have the same position because the LCD 20x4 is manually mounted on the board.

I used histrogram compare and work fine if the image captured respect the alignment of reference image but if image captured is slightly shifted or rotated, the histogram compare return different result.

How i can adjust the captured image before process with histogram compare?

Can you control the image on the LCD? If so you could have it display the camera calibration patterns.
