Dear OpenCV answers,
I am investigating using averaging over a number of frames to reduce noise on our video feed. I've been working from a tutorial provided here http://www.aishack.in/2010/01/noise-reduction-by-averaging/
I have installed OpenCV 2.1 on my Windows 7 development machine using the EXE installer from sourceforge. I am using Visual Studio 2010 SP1.
The program compiles and reports no errors or warnings. However when the program is run in debug mode a message box pops up with the message:
"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0150002). Click OK to close the application."
I spent all day yesterday searching for a solution to this, with no particular luck. I've found about 50 different 'solutions' to the problem around the internet and none of them have worked. I finally rage-quit yesterday afternoon. Now back at work again and it's sitting here on my desktop taunting me.
If anyone can help me with this, I would really appreciated it. I can email over the VS Solution files if you need.
Thanks for your time!

The prebuild libraries on OpenCV 2.1 is for Visual Studio 2008
so either you use VS2008 or build the source code and get the libraries for VS2010
its very easy to build, see this: http://www.laganiere.name/opencvCookbook/chap1s1_1.shtml
the same steps you will do to build OpenCV 2.1.
