opencv_ffmpeg247_64.dll:-1: error: file not recognized: File format not recognized

I saw that this error is a bug for windows 8 opencv 2.4.7 with qt creator: opencv_ffmpeg247.dll gained a dependency on libiconv-2.dll in latest Windows redistributable (Bug #3400)

However, I am unsure how to fix this? Has anyone else encountered this problem and know how to fix it. I am unsure of the steps.

The issue has been fixed in branch 2.4 already. You just need to download the latest state of branch 2.4 from github and replace FFMPEG library with the new one.

Hello are you sure that the problem is solve in latest stable branch? I had download the 248 version and i have the same problem : opencv_ffmpeg248_64.dll:-1: error: file not recognized: File format not recognized thanks
