Camera calibration [closed]

Tutorials mention images of a chessboard. I haven't found any in my installation. Shall I create them myself? How? Does the size of the board matter? Where shall I place it before the camera? Do I need to somehow describe the position of each image for the program?

you can use this one . print it out, and laminate it (FLAT !) on some board.
size depends on distance. A4 will do for <1m.
take like 10-30 images, use oblique angles, and see, that you have the whole field of view (esp. the corners!) covered.
